I guess after reading the article by Moishe Lettvin, who was working on the Windows Vista shutdown menu for one year (you read that correctly), there are no more questions regarding how Microsoft accomplishes to fail and suck every time.
Example: 43 people had a voice in deciding how the shutdown “feature” should look and work like. In one year he got to code 200 lines of code. Tops.
Plus, he points out a rather interesting fact:
We had a Mac that we looked to as a paragon of clean UI.
No more questions, your honor. Although, Apples design process doesn’t appear to be perfect either.
